CNC Operator

Hytech is looking for a motivated CNC Operator to help with its hydraulic manifold manufacturing (CNC) business. You must have CNC milling experience and understand milling codes to apply for this job and will be required to work shifts (0600-1500, 1300-2200 on a two weekly rotation). You will need to have experience with hand tools and the ability to communicate with customers and suppliers on a technical level. You will have an interest in the manufacture of quality components and the determination to ensure your work is always of the highest standard and quality.

HYTECH (Hyspecs Technologies) is New Zealand's leading manufacturer of standard and custom hydraulic aluminium and steel manifolds. Our primary market is the hydraulic manifold industry. Hytech produces and stocks a full line of standard hydraulic manifolds. With the aid of in-house designers (using ProE), custom aluminium and steel manifolds are also designed and produced. Custom manifolds offer multiple function, layout, port and cavity options, to suit specific requirements. In addition to hydraulic manifolds, Hytech is also geared to supply small and medium production runs of general engineering components for a wide range of industries.

HYTECH operates from purpose built premises located in East Tamaki, Auckland. HYTECH currently runs two Daewoo Mynx (540 and 650) CNC vertical machining centres and one Doosan HP5100 horizontal CNC machine that feature:


• 3 axis operation with 4th positioning axis

• Maximum work piece mass = 1000 kg

• Maximum work piece dimensions = 1300mm long x 650mm high x 625mm deep

• The HP5100 gives us the ability for large production runs and is capable of running overnight, unattended

• Can run an automatic pallet changer – ability to load new jobs whilst the machine is running


In addition to the three CNC machines, Hytech also operates a high speed, aluminium cut-off saw and an NC operated band saw for steel for accurate docking of on shelf bar stock.

HYTECH Utilises 3D ProE computer software and our skilled programmers can take conceptual projects from design through to completion. This powerful software package allows designs to be easily viewed and checked from every angle to make sure all external and internal features are in the correct positions. HYTECH also offers a free ProE viewing program that can be loaded to check or sign off project design by the customer.
